Marginalized Voices in ‘Seattle’s CHOP Protest:’ Can Violence Replace Legitimate Processes of Social Justice

The purpose of this study is to understand how marginalized voices within Seattle’s CHOP (Capitol Hill Occupation Protest) zone are viewed through the lens of critical race theory. This ethnographic study seeks to identify key factors that help to categorize marginalization as it relates to violence and the legitimate process of social justice initiatives.
